While brightly coloured and packaged treats might be tempting, many contain unnecessary dyes, preservatives, fats and salt that can wreak havoc with your pets diet – both from a stomach upset and a weight control perspective. ‘Body part’ treats and chews can also pose a risk to your pet’s teeth from being too hard plus they can be a source of (bad) bacteria if not processed or handled correctly.
