Ultrasound is a valuable diagnostic tool that continues to gain popularity in Veterinary Medicine. Twenty years ago, Dr. Gary Palmer was fortunate to begin his career at one of the first private veterinary hospitals in Ontario to offer diagnostic ultrasound to their patients. Over the years he has enjoyed having the opportunity to develop his expertise, skill and comfort levels using increasingly sophisticated equipment. He finds ultrasound to be very valuable in the diagnosis and management of heart disease, bladder and kidney disease, liver disease and diagnosing abdominal tumours.
