Home for the holidays, Vet student Heather gets some hands on experience.

Second year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine student Heather Neureuther spends some time at Sault Ste. Marie Animal Clinic to gain some small animal medicine experience while on Christmas break from her studies at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph.  Heather who is from Goulais River and has an undergraduate degree in Biology will graduate and become licensed to practice in 2017.  At this point in time, Heather is enjoying studying all aspects of Veterinary Medicine and has not yet decided whether she will focus on Large Animal, Small (Companion) Animal or Mixed practice.  Heather is shown above meeting 7 yr. old wire haired dachshund Penny and her owner.
