Sault Ste. Marie Animal Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of an Oxygen Therapy Chamber for our patients. The chamber allows us to deliver a constant flow of humidified oxygen in a controlled environment to our patients that may be experiencing difficulties breathing (respiratory distress) or as an added safety measure for older or higher risk patients recovering from anesthesia. Since a pet is unlikely to tolerate nasal O2 (like people would get in the hospital), the chamber allows us to deliver it safely and to reduce stress for the patient.
